This ‘mercyscape’ is unique in that its composition swings between a ‘mercyscape’ and a ‘breakthrough’. Is light dancing on the water? Or is it breaking through the trees? The colors are reminiscent of the forest, but also could easily be interpreted as reflections of fall colors in the water. Whatever you think, the soft and fresh greens combined with the buttery yellows take me away to a heavenly place right here on earth.
